“Marijuana has been utilized as a medicinal plant to treat a variety of conditions for nearly five millennia.

Over the past few years, there has been an unprecedented interest in using cannabis extracts to treat epilepsy, spurred on by a few refractory pediatric cases featured in the media that had an almost miraculous response to cannabidiol-enriched marijuana extracts.

This review attempts to answer the most important questions a clinician may have regarding the use of marijuana in epilepsy. First, we review the preclinical and human evidences for the anticonvulsant properties of the different cannabinoids, mainly tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD).

Then, we explore the safety data from animal and human studies. Lastly, we attempt to reconcile the controversy regarding physicians’ and patients’ opinions about whether the available evidence is sufficient to recommend the use of marijuana to treat epilepsy.”

Cannabinoids (Marijuana Compounds) Lead to Leukemia Cancer Cell Destruction

“As new studies are released showing just how miraculous the compounds of marijuana are, the argument for legalized marijuana or at least legal access to medicinal marijuana seems to build a little more each month.

One new study, from researchers with Saint George’s University of London and published in Anticancer Research, reveals how various compounds within cannabis are able to work together to kill human leukemia cells.

The study looked at three non-psychoactive cannabinoids, including cannabidiol, cannabigerol, and cannabigevarin. These compounds were tested on two leukemia cell lines where they acted synergistically to fight the cancerous cells.

According to a press release from the University, these “non-hallucinogenic components of cannabis could act as effective anti-cancer agents.””

“The latest? A 6-year-old boy from Modesto, Calif., named Jayden David. Just like a young girl in Colorado, he suffers from a rare form of epilepsy called Dravet Syndrome. The disorder gave Jayden seizures so severe and frequent, he couldn’t walk, play or do much of anything. He often had to be rushed to the hospital by ambulance. Doctors prescribed as many as 22 pills a day. Nothing worked. “At one point Jayden had seizures 24 hours a day lasting an hour and a half,” his father, Jason David, told local station KCRA. “I went to my doctor and said, ‘I don’t think Jayden is going to last. He can’t sleep, can’t eat. He hasn’t used the restroom. He cant do anything.'”

With no alternate options, the doctor prescribed a liquid form of cannabis called CBD, which gives less of a high. It was the first day of his entire life that Jayden went seizure-free. In the two years since, he’s taken CBD daily and now walks, plays and laughs happily. Jason credits medical marijuana with saving his son’s life — and says he’s speaking out now to help other parents with children in Jayden’s situation. “How can I not tell people, ‘Hey, save your children’s lives?'” he asks.”

Cannabis Cures Cancer Without Poison

“Isn’t it strange that doctors can legally administer poison in the form of chemotherapy and radiation as well as numerous toxic pharmaceuticals and yet one of nature’s medicines- found to greatly assist cancer patients- which can be prepared by any common person without harmful side effects, is illegal and can send a person to prison for its possession?

There are numerous studies, now spanning the globe, revealing the miraculous healing properties of cannabis oil and its ability to cure cancers and other ailments without poisoning the body.

Cannabis oil, or Hemp oil contains many healing benefits including a high amount of protein as well as essential fatty acids, including the harder to come by GLA’s – known to reduce inflammation and slow the growth of cancer cells. As far as essential fatty acids go, we need a particular ratio of Omega 3, Omega 6 and GLA’s in our body for good health. Choosing pot over pills may be the way to go for Crohn’s sufferers – MSN

“A new study published in the Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology journal shows that marijuana reduces the symptoms of Crohn’s disease, a condition affecting the bowel. Researchers at the Meir Medical Center in Israel rounded up 21 sufferers, 11 were instructed to smoke marijuana twice a day, while the other 10 were given placebo pot. Although that’s a fairly small test group, the results were pretty miraculous: Eight weeks later the stoners showed significant improvement and five had gone into remission. Unlike ingesting an endless stream of pills, researchers also revealed that partaking in a little ganja had “no significant side effects,” other than helping the group to sleep better and increasing their appetites.”
